SUITCASE STICKERS

I've been posting a lot of funny things lately. Maybe it's because I'm in such a great gosh darn mood. Or maybe it's because I have been swamped with leather, grommets, rivets and the like that at the end of the day, after all of the fashion magazines have been read, and the blogs have been scrolled through- I need to take a fashion pause. Kind of like a pregnant pause, but with a better outfit.

Anyway.

I present to you Suitcase Stickers. How on earth did it take someone so long to figure out a brilliantly funny way to differentiate between all the black suitcases of the world?

I don't usually drop "F" bombs on this website (you know, because of all of the children who read my blog), but this was too funny to pass up. Happy Wednesday, everyone!

JASON SCHWARTZMAN WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON

My favorite east village neighbor appropriately (and somewhat inappropriately) shows you how to read the The New Yorker on your iPad!
Swoon.

JACK GERMAIN HANDBAGS: NEW WEBSITE

It's been a long time coming, but my new website is here. Both Pre-Fall 2010 and Fall/Winter 2010-2011 are up and prices, a shopping cart and many other things are on their way. With help (a lot of it) from some amazing friends, my website received a major facelift and is now the perfect setting to display all of my collections.

I met Tescia Deak on the subway almost a year ago. She liked my bag, I liked her attitude and from that a beautiful friendship was born. It is because of this by chance relationship that I have such a gorgeous website. My good friend Tescia performed the role of plastic surgeon as she went in there, dug deep, moved things around and pretty much redid the entire thing. Also, Tescia worked her magic so that you can not only view my website from your computer, but also from your iPhone. I couldn't have done this without her and I don't know where I would be without the love and support she is always giving me.

Another person who I couldn't have done this without is Nate Boguszewski. Nate's innate ability to see the beauty in everything he photographs is remarkable. From food to people and everything in between, Nate's unique perspective brings the best out of every subject he works with. Thank you, Nate, for the gorgeous photos you have taken of my bags for the past couple of years and I promise you that dealing with me will one day pay off. I love how we use the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" policy, but Nate, I need to break out the essential body oils because you've been incredible throughout this whole process and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your work and dedication on this project.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the past couple of years. From family and friends to old teachers and coworkers, so many people have given me the confidence to do what I love and to not look back. I feel incredibly blessed and in my mind, if I do succeed, I know that I didn't do this alone.

Okay, enough with the sappy stuff- go check out the new website and let me hear your feedback!! It's not completely done (yes, I know some picture sizing is a bit off) but it's on it's way!!

BLUE OYSTER CULT: BURNIN' FOR YOU

This morning my alarm clock woke me up with this amazing song. As I laid there in my bed waiting for the song to finish I thought two things: 1. It's been a really long time since I've blogged and 2. I wonder if this song has a music video? Two birds with one stone? I'm sorry it's been so long since I've written. This week has been absolutely crazy bags-wise as my Spring 2011 samples are almost done. I will definitely share some fun pictures/videos with you all in the coming weeks so that's something to look forward to, but in the meantime CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS VIDEO? I mean, if someone could please just explain the plot line to me it would really be helpful. What the hell is going on here? Nonetheless, this song is so damn good and just like me, I think you should all start your Sunday morning with a big cup of Blue Oyster Cult. Enjoy.

ATELIER VERSACE FALL 2010

The second I saw this collection I knew that Rachel Zoe was probably lying half alive in her studio somewhere. If this isn't an Oscar dress dream come true, I don't know what is. The new Altelier Versace Fall 2010 is killing me softly with their pale neutrals and intricate pleating and draping. I remember a time when I felt that Versace was just a little bit too over the top, but recently they have concocted the perfect formula of feminine and sexiness to create some of the best gowns in the industry. Below are some of the most gorgeous photos I've seen all season:

REPENTING FOR MY SINS: BABY HATIN

Three guaranteed ways that I will like a small child:

1. If the child is my little cousin, Ari.
2. If they dress like the kids in the J.Crew Crew Cuts catalog.
3. If they are wearing one of these:
